Sukanya Samriddhi Yojna

Sukanya Samriddhi Yojna is an
initiative of the PM Sh. Narendra Modi under the flagship of government of
india to protect and promote the girl childs in india. It ensure the life,
career and marriage expenses of girls in India. The tag line of this initiative
is "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao". Sukanya Samriddhi Yojna is well
accepted by the people of India towards the independence of girls. the scheme
allows people to invest from a nominal amount of Rs. 1000/- to a amximum of Rs.
1,50,000/- per year.
Facilities under Sukanya Samriddhi
Yojna -
a. The rate of interest is 8.6% per
annum.
b. Once the girl child attain the
age of 18 years, partial withdrawl (upto 50%) is allowed for her higher
education or marriage.
c. The entry age to open SSY A/C is
10years or less.
d. Minimum amout allowed to deposit
is Rs. 1,000/- and Maximum amount is Rs. 1,50,000/- per year
e. SSY A/C can be opened in any
Authorized Bank or Post Office.
f. SSY A/C can be transfered from
one Bank/Post Office to another if desired.
g. only one SSY A/C is allowed for
one girl child.
h. SSY A/C can be closed once the
girl child attain the age of 21 years if she wishes to continue the A/C she can
do so and she will paid the interest specified.
i. Investment under SSY A/C in
permissible under Sec 80C of Income Tax Act
How to open Sukanya Samriddhi A/C -
SSY A/C can be opened in any authorised Bank or any Post Office by submitting
the A/C opening form properly signed and with supporting documents.

c. ID Proof of Parent/Guardian (PAN,
Driving License, Passport Ration Card etc.)

Terms & Conditions -
a. Age at the time of a/C is must me
10 years or less
b. Deposit can be made in the
multiple of Rs. 100/- but minimum Rs. 1,000/- per year which allows upto Rs.
1,50,000/- per year.
c. In case the A/C is not credited
with the minimum amount a penalty of rs. 50/- will be levied.
